We are self-righteous. We are power hungry. We are struggling to find a purpose greater than our own while refusing to believe we aren't all that important. We wish to be gods, but gods led by other gods. We will never ascend and one day a beast far crueler than us will walk. And then we will rest, even if unwillingly.
